Saints Equipped to Evangelize is a non-profit evangelical ministry founded in 1994 by Sam and Chris Spatola. From the very beginning we have been planting churches and growing believers in northern Italy, first in Trieste and later San Lorenzo, Udine, and Pordenone.

We are overseen by a board of directors made up of pastors and businessmen committed to missions and the local church. A growing number of full-time missionaries carry out the daily tasks of ministering to their communities, assisted by short-term summer mission teams. These summer missions teams form valuable partnerships with churches in US and allow us to inform and disciple American churches in missions and evangelism. Teams include students, teens, professors, pastors, musicians, dancers, children's workers, teachers, and professionals.

Our passion for involving the American church in missions led us to found Saints Bible Institute, a dynamic, fully-accredited, 12-week study abroad program for American university students.  Students at SBI experience the beauty of Italian culture as well as the realities of daily mission life.  Our newest SEE ministry, Passalo Ministries, offers American students and young professionals a three-month immersive experience in church planting side-by-side with full-time church planters.

The Saints Bible Institute campus also serves as our office headquarters in Italy and a base for missions teams, evangelical conferences, and dual-enrollment study trips. Many short-term teams completed the campus renovations, slowly turning an abandoned farmhouse complex into a vibrant campus.
